Navratri is a Hindu festival that spans nine nights and is dedicated to the worship of Goddess Durga and her nine forms. The festival is celebrated with great enthusiasm across India and among Hindu communities worldwide.

Types of Navratri

There are four types of Navratri celebrated throughout the year, but the most popular ones are:

  1. Chaitra Navratri (March-April) – Begins with Gudi Padwa/Ugadi

  2. Sharad Navratri (September-October) – Ends with Dussehra

Significance of Navratri
